Mindfulness Yoga – Gentle Joints

This class incorporates breath work, yoga postures, gentle movement sequences, guided relaxation, and silent meditation to support increased awareness and mindfulness of the breath and body, and quieting of the nervous system.

Yin Yoga – Level I

Yin yoga is slow-paced poses with poses being held for longer periods of time —four minutes or longer per pose is typical. Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues – the tendons, fascia, and ligaments — with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Yin yoga is a more meditative approach to yoga that helps cultivate awareness of one’s inner silence.

Gentle Flow Yoga – Level I

Gentle Flow Yoga is geared specifically for those new to yoga or vinyasa yoga.  Vinyasa yoga helps you strengthen your body, increase your flexibility, and bring overall balance and better health to your body.  Emotionally, it helps steady your mind through a focus on the breath.  This slow moving, exploratory vinyasa class provides the student with the underlying basics of how a vinyasa practice works and is appropriate for anyone of any age, shape or size. No experience or flexibility required.

Slow Flow Yoga – Level II

Slow Flow Yoga is a moderate level yoga class that slows things down a bit allowing more easeful transitions between poses.  This class is specifically designed to help you to burn off excess energy, release tension, and leave class feeling both more relaxed and rejuvenated. This class is moderately vigorous; the pace will allow you to customize the practice to suit your individual needs. This class is accessible and safe for practitioners of all levels. Drop-ins are welcome!

Moderate Flow Yoga – Level II

This fundamentals class focuses on the core or fundamental yoga poses that make up a well-rounded yoga practice.  Emphasis is placed on safe and effective alignment during poses and the transitions between poses.  Individuals new to yoga, and those who have practiced for years, will enjoy deepening their understanding of these core poses and the effects they can have on the body, breath, emotions, thoughts, and sense of becoming more centered.  This class can be moderately vigorous as individuals flow from one pose to the next guided by their breath and the supportive guidance of the instructor.

Flow Yoga – Level III

Our flow class invites further exploration of yoga and the body, mind, and spirit by broadening your exposure to a variety of yoga poses and their variations.  This class is appropriate for individuals who have some yoga experience, or at least a good understanding of their body and how it moves.  This is a vigorous class where the movements are connected to each other in a flowing manner and linking movement with the breath is a primary focus.  Beginners are welcome, but will be encouraged to pace themselves and focus on mastering the basic poses before moving onto the more complex poses.

Shake your Soul® – The Yoga of Dance – Mixed levels

“The power of love to change bodies is legendary, built into folklore, common sense, and everyday experience. Love moves the flesh, it pushes matter around … Throughout history, “tender loving care” has uniformly been recognized as a valuable element in healing.” ~Larry Dossey
